LET US KNOW HOW TATA MID CAP FUND WORKS

Market capitalization is the total market value of a company, it shows the size and values of a company. Marketcapitalisation is calculated as the product of a total number of outstanding shares of that company with its current market price(per share) where outstanding shares do not include the shares that the company owner has owned individually.
However, it does not matter here what is the total share price of that company since multiplying it with outstanding shares makes it a larger value.

Companies having a market capitalization of more than 5000 crores are termed as small capital companies, between 5000 cr to 20,000 crores are mid-cap and those greater than 20,000 crores are termed as large-cap companies.

A Mid-cap fund is a mutual fund that focuses on companies with a market capitalization in the middle range of listed stocks. It offers greater growth than a large-cap but when invested for a long time, and risks less than small-cap funds.
